Review: Too Faced Melted Latex High Shine Lipstick

I am super excited to write little review on the new Too Faced Melted Latex High Shine Lipstick available now! I was fortunate enough to get the collection sent to me, so again thank you Too Faced! There are 16 different shades including a clear gloss. Here is a description from their website:

“Using exclusive technology that keeps high-shine lipsticks liquid, Melted Latex redefines the lips with honey-like texture that ensures gloss clings to lips with a latex shine. Doe-foot applicator comfortably coats lips in bursts of intense, buildable, lacquered color that lasts for hours”

Compared to previous lipsticks in the melted line, these are a high shine just like a lipgloss. Lip-glosses are tricky because they tend to wipe off pretty easily, but not these! They stay pretty well for a lip gloss as it sticks to your lips and adds pigment, but its not unbearably sticky.  I recommend you swatching these from your local sephora and feeling this consistency before purchasing if you’re cautious about these things.

I love just throwing on a lipliner and the melted latex lipstick because I am a fan of glossy lips, it makes your lips look more plump and juicy, and I would say they offer a colour for everybody. and hey you could always just try the clear if you’re not a fan of the shades.

These retails for $25 CAD which is not too bad, it’s a lot of product compared to other lip glosses with 0.4 oz of product. A popular shade is unicorn tears which is so unique on the market and if you were go to purchase one thing, I would totally recommend that shade as it gives a holographic, glossy look. Unfortunately that shade was not included in the PR packages for some reason, so I have swatches of all the other shades below.

Overall, I have tried a lot of glosses, and this one is definitely up there, it does truly stay long but just as any gloss be careful you don’t smudge it everywhere. I recommend giving it a try, they have some beautiful colours for fall, and worst case you can always get your money back!
